Season 4’s new patch is going to slow the pace of the game at the competitive level

My team who is one of the top tier NA teams who regularly places top 5 in MRC Sponsored tournaments tested the beta and while testing the beta they found that in the patch that’s going to be released for season 4 slide shots are nerfed heavily. They create almost no space when to be honest they weren’t overpowered before and were a good tool to pass more often than to shoot. Slide shots create barely any space and with a defender on you it becomes not viable if the defender has a couple functioning braincells. With this being the go to way to play fast currently which the NA region tries to do rather than EU’s slow paced meta, taking away this tool will significantly slow down the game as it will take passing options away from the offensive team limiting creativity (this is getting repetitive every patch). It just feels really unrewarding learning how to use these mechanics when it feels like every patch something new is taken away. In conclusion though with slide shots being nerfed so heavily if teams don’t make major mistakes then the pace of the game at the highest level will slow significantly in result making games more boring to watch for the average viewer.
