Buffs for dribbling
As I'm sure you've heard plenty of times by now from me and other people in the community, dribbling still needs another buff. I can acknowledge that the shot fake was definitely a great addition forgetting a defender to bite. but I think a couple more improvements can definitely change offence for the better.
One thing I can say that I really hate when trying to create opportunities for my team is the defenders backtracking capabilities. To counter that I have 3 suggestions, the first one is some kind of passive speed boost for when the game recognizes you've beat your defender.
My second suggestion is that when a player makes an actual attempt to tackle the dribble and they miss there should be a longer delay before they are able to pursue the dribbler again. in real soccer most defenders are taught not to directly challenge the ball for fear that they won't be able to recover in time to get a stop. instead they are taught to try to slow the attacker down and stay between the attacker and the goal until support can arrive to help take the ball away.
the other 2 suggestions I made focus on creating space between a beaten defender and the dribble. But my last 2 suggestions focus on giving a dribbler moves to help maintain space created between them and the defender they've already beaten. To do that, I would add a couple dribble animations that allow the dribbler to "change lanes" while still sprinting. The "Elastico" and the "La Croqueta" (AKA "in and out") are 2 moves that are great at exactly that in real life. I also think those 2 moves also fit into the games current dribbling package well.
