High-Level Gameplay Balance, Creativity, and Meta Repetition Issues

First, thanks to the developers for their work on Rematch. The game has strong potential, and this is intended as short constructive feedback from a high-level gameplay perspective.

At high level, the biggest issue is the lack of creative variety. Passing feels overly punished, with too many interceptions even on intelligent or realistic passes, which reduces team play and tactical build-up.

Because of this, competitive play is starting to revolve around repetitive “meta” patterns instead of football variety — for example: calling a direction, boosting into space, and instantly receiving a pass for a fast shot. These plays are very hard to read or counter and are becoming the dominant win condition.

As a result, gameplay often feels like solo dribbling or scripted boost-based attacks rather than dynamic team football.

Goalkeepers also feel slightly overpowered in certain situations, and could benefit from more timing-based skill expression rather than simple reaction mechanics.

I also think a full-match stamina system could improve balance: players start at 100 stamina, and sprinting/movement gradually reduces it. Small differences (like 90 vs 80) should not drastically affect speed, but lower stamina levels should matter more. This would reward tactical decision-making over constant sprint/boost usage.

Overall, the main concern is that the current meta is becoming repetitive at high level. If creative passing and team play are made more reliable, the game could become much deeper and more competitive long-term.
